SUNDAYS @ LWC

We are so glad you're here!

NICE TO MEET YOU!

Checking out a church takes a bit of courage, and we get that!

No matter what you've been through or where you come from,

you are welcome here at Living Word Church.

So whether you're going through a difficult time and need the love and support of a warm church family, desire a church where the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ is preached & taught, looking for a church where your children can be established and grow in the historic Christian faith, or even if you're just curious about life's perplexities and how the Christian message speaks to them, we're here for you!

FAQ

Answers to the most common questions people tend to have before they come to Living Word Church.

Some people like to dress up for Sunday, and some people don't! You'll see people wearing flip-flops and jeans sitting next to people in suits and dresses.

DO I NEED TO DRESS UP?

Reaching the next generation is a huge part of our DNA. We have an incredible children's (nursery to 5th) and students (6th - 12th grade) ministry that meets on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights.

About halfway through our worship service on Sunday, we dismiss your children (5 yrs old through 5th grade) along with our children's workers, to go to LWC Kids. In this safe environment, they will play some fun and creative games with our children's ministry volunteers, learn about the bible and how much Jesus loves them, and make new friends. Nursery care is also available at this time or even earlier before the worship service begins.

For students (6th - 12th grade,) we have a wonderful student program that meet every Wednesday at 6:15pm. Students are encouraged to be with you during the Sunday worship service.

WHAT IS THERE FOR MY KIDS?

Be sure to check out our Who We Are page for this answer.

WHAT DOES LIVING WORD CHURCH BELIEVE?

First and foremost, our messages are Bible-based. Everything being taught from the stage has been surrounded with hours of prayer, study and discussion. With the Bible as the foundation, our messages are designed to provide real-life application, and a deep understanding of the Scriptures. We believe that understanding the Word of God is important and that living it is a key component to life change and finding life in Jesus.

WHAT IS THE PREACHING/TEACHING STYLE?

The music style is a great mixture of contemporary Christian songs you may hear on the radio to some timeless, classic hymns. Our musicians are all volunteers and there is a lot of work that goes on behind-the-scenes to ensure the worship experience and the message are cohesive.

WHAT IS THE MUSIC STYLE?

Our Worship Service includes music, prayer and teaching and lasts about 80 minutes.

HOW LONG DOES A SERVICE LAST?

Yes! We take communion as a church on the 1st Sunday of each month as a way of remembering and reflecting on what Christ has done for us.

DO YOU CELEBRATE COMMUNION?

A worship service is a group of people gathering together to celebrate Christ and to be formed in His image through prayer, worship, repentance, and the proclamation of the gospel.
